Why I'm Running
The dePaul School played an important role in who I am today. It taught me to serve others, lead with purpose, and stay involved in my community.
Where It Began
I started at The dePaul School in 1979. Before then, school was something I struggled through, not something I thought would shape my future. The dePaul School changed my life. It gave me confidence, direction, and a sense of self-worth. Most importantly, it taught me that my voice mattered.
I graduated in 1988, and when I became a mother, I knew I wanted my children to have the same opportunity. All five of my children attended The dePaul School. My daughters went on to earn college degrees and master's degrees in their chosen fields. My son graduated from The dePaul School last year and now attends Trinity High School.
The dePaul School taught me to believe in myself, speak up, and do the right thing, even when it's hard. Those lessons have stayed with me throughout my life and continue to guide me today.
A Career Built on Service
I hold a Master's degree in Public Health from Purdue University and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Louisville. For more than 30 years, I've worked in healthcare and social services, on the front lines of some of life's hardest moments.
Today I serve as a Case Manager, connecting individuals and families to housing, resources, and long-term solutions that improve their quality of life. I'm also the Founder and CEO of Hatching House Mentoring Services, a nonprofit committed to empowering youth through mentorship, education, and community support, where I've led strategic growth, built partnerships, and developed programs that create real opportunities for young people to succeed.
Throughout my career, I've provided emotional support to individuals facing trauma and crisis, led workshops on self-sufficiency and financial literacy, and worked alongside multidisciplinary teams to help people move forward with dignity and purpose.
Why I'm Running
As a candidate for Simpsonville, KY City Commissioner, I bring a results-driven mindset, a deep commitment to service, and a clear mission: to be an advocate for doing what is right for the people of this community.
I'm ready to listen, lead, and work alongside residents to build a stronger, more connected Simpsonville, where every family has the opportunity to thrive.
